Rhiannon has always been a voracious reader and continues to read a book a day. She is never without a book and reads on the bus, in the bath and while watching television. In science fiction her favourite authors include Ursula Le Guin, Diana Wynne Jones, Iain M. Banks, Gwyneth Jones, Vernor Vinge, Orson Scott Card, Joan D. Vinge, John Wyndham, Tanith Lee, Michael Marshall Smith and Neal Stephenson.
She also enjoys Margaret Atwood, the detective fiction of Ruth Rendell and Minette Walters, the novels of Ben Elton and the legal drama of John Grisham.
In teenage fiction she enjoys the work of Geraldine McCaughrean, the Edgerton Hall series by Adèle Geras, the theatrical family novels of Noel Streatfield, the Cherub series by Robert Muchamore, the fantasy and horror novels of Celia Rees, the magical fiction of Annie Dalton and, of course, the multiple titles by her mother Mary Hoffman.
